Farmhouse Cottages: Self Catering Holiday Cottages at Frome, nr Longleat

small image

We have two self catering holiday cottages and the Dairy, a separate annexe that sleeps 2, on our farm at Frome, near Longleat. The holiday cottages (Calf Cottage and Chicken Cottage) were converted using traditional materials and retain many of the original features from barns that used to house the calves and chickens, hence their names.

The Cottages and the Dairy are situated on our working farm, which is mainly arable. We also have a livery yard which can stable up to 14 horses, a few sheep, our own horses and ponies and free range chickens.

Our farm backs onto Longleat safari park. We are so close that we can hear the lions and the wolves.

We are a mile from Frome, which is a picturesque market town with lots of independent shops. Bath is 40 minutes away, as is Glastonbury and Wells. In the other direction is Salisbury and Stonehenge. Weston Super Mare and Poole are an hour from here.

It’s a great place to stay to see the sights, but also lovely to come back to a quiet, tranquil cottage.
